DEB SALYER (Bass Guitar, Vocals)

Originally from Conneticut  Deb has played in several hi-profile bands. It was in Virginia that she joined  an all woman - all original band, "MOXXIE", in this band Deb would be the lead singer and play bass guitar for several years.

Collaborating on their original compositions Moxxie put a lot of time into those songs and it paid off. On their second gig, they opened for rock legends, "Emmerson Lake &  Palmer" at the Hampton Coliseum.

Her next project combined her and guitarist Deborah Coleman from "MOXXIE" in a power trio named, "Mis' Behaven" a group that set the audience's on fire, winning showcases for major labels and opening for acts like Delbert McClinton and KoKo Taylor.  They had a ball for about three years and eventually went their separate ways.

Deb then formed her own nine piece band, "The R&B All-stars", playing the old music from Stax Records as well as the Temptations and Otis Redding, perfecting her "in the pocket" bass technique along the way.  This band would find itself sharing the bill with the Beach Boys, the Spinners, Huey Lewis and The News, and Percy Sledge.  Four years later and after playing with what she calls some of the soulfulist people she ever met, the band split up.  Some six years later, they still get together on special occasions to play.

After moving to Florida Deb got a call from her friend Deborah Coleman asking her to go on tour, Coleman had gotten a contract with Blind Pig Records and now eight years later she was playing bass again with Coleman.  Performing sold out shows not only in the USA but Europe and Japan, Deb toured with Coleman for four years and appeared on her last two albums "Living on Love" and "Live in California Soul Be It".

Currently , Deb resides on Bokeelia, where she formed the Dynamics with Graham Fineout & Newt Cole.

Stay tuned as her legend grows!

Don Hulgas
(Baritone, Tenor Saxophone, Percussion & Vocals)

Don is the newest member to join the Dynamics.  He has proved to be a wonderful addition, playing shimmering sax solos, solid percussion all the while projecting wonderfully exuberant stage presence.

Don comes from a long family tradition of horn players. His father and grandfather were sax players, as well as his grandfather on his mothers side who was also a clarinet and sax player.

Don began his musical odyssey in his early teens and started playing out at the age of 13 when his father  would take him out to clubs to sit in with the bands he knew. His first "paying jobs" were with Brent of Brent's Music Headquarters "Rock and Soul Review" in 1989. The premier show band in the area for many years.  This was followed by stints in various other bands throughout Southwest Florida such as the Mambo Brothers, R&B connection, Whitehouse, Powerhouse, Crestliners, Magic Moments, Alter Ego, High Voltage, Real Deal, Uptown Express, Humidity, Perfect Gentlemen, and more.

Among Don's highlights were playing with The 50's band The Del Vikings at a "Night of Doo Wop" festival and getting to blow the original horn solo to "Come & Go With Me". He also fondly recalls playing in Mexico for a week with Powerhouse and also looking out over a sea of 10,000 people at a downtown Fort Myers block party with Rock and Soul Review. Other memorable events were meeting Kenny G and Michael Brecker and getting to discuss music with them back stage. More importantly Don's sites his best career highlight as seeing the look of contentment on his parents face when they came to watch him perform knowing they gave him the gift of music.

Coby Smith (Road Manager, Chief of Security)

We're not sure exactly how long Coby has been in the entertainment business, he is a man of few words and doesn't like to boast. It suffices to say that Deb & The Dynamics would have a hard time functioning without this man. He handles our security, equipment and CD sales.  A jack of all trades and above all Coby is a fine dancer .  Coby has our back at all times and we love him!
